Dhulikhel, is a place beauty and paradise for nature lovers lies 30 km east of Kathmandu on a top hill attached with the B.P.Highway and Arniko Highway. Mostly people in Dhulikhel villages are Newars, Brahmin, Tamang and Dalit. Dhulikhel is well known for its sunrise views and good way to know about of Nepalese village life.
From ancient Dhulikhel has been an important trading center of commercial route joining Nepal to Tibet. Since then people of Nepal travel to Tibet and Tibet people travel to Nepal for various purposes. After joining by highway with Tibet by motorable road in 1965, Dhulikhel got a tourist places and views both for Tibet trippers and tourists. Dhulikhel has become like an station to stop for overnight stay while going to Tibet and coming back to Kathmandu.

Some Temple names are Narayan Temple(this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna whose birthday is celebrated in August), Harisiddhi Temple( this temple God is responds to worshiper problems and sees their right and wrong doings), Gaukhureshwor Mahadev Temple(this temple is near to Tundikhel Recreation Park and is located in a peaceful environment), Bhagwati Temple(this temple of god is taken as protection from danger and misfortune and also is considered as one of the best place to see around Dhulikhel.
