The Nagarkot picnic spot is located 27 km northeast of Kathmandu. It is on the northern edge of the Kathmandu Valley, popular for sunrise and sunset viewing. Nagarkot is a popular destination for domestic and foreign tourists as well. Nagarkot View tower

Nagarkot is also popular for it’s view tower. People visit the Nagarkot lookout tower to observe the surroundings. It is about 7 km and 20 minutes from Nagarkot bus stop by vehicle.

Buddha peace park

Buddha Peace Park another attraction in the Nagarkot area with a beautiful Lord Buddha statue where you can go for a hike.

Nagarkot Bat Cave

Nagarkot Bat Cave is also one of the attractions of Nagarkot. It is around 2 km from Muhan Pokhari.


Kalamasi is a man-made lake used as a water reservoir but later became a popular place for camping and hiking. It is in between the dense forest so it is popular among domestic tourists. It is about 10 km from Nagarkot bus stop, approximately 45-60 minutes by vehicle.

Muhan pokhari is a beautiful place, the natural stream falling down from Nagarkot waterfall. It is about 5 km from Nagarkot bus stop, 20-25 minutes by vehicle.

Jarsing Pauwa

Jarsing Pauwa also known as Lapshiphedi is popular for Tea Gardens. It is also known as Mini Illam. There is a picnic spot also in Jarsing Pauwa. This site is about 9 km from Kattike Dandagaun Marga. You’ll be able to reach there in about 30 minutes from Nagarkot bus stop by vehicle.
