Saipal Mountain is located in the Himalayas of north-west Bajhang district in Nepal. It is at an elevation of 7031 meters (23,064 feet). Saipal attracts mountaineers from around the world. It is known for its striking natural beauty, ruggedness, rich biodiversity and untouched natural beauty. This is a remote region and less visited by tourists as compared to other tourist destinations of Nepal.
It falls within the Saipal Conservation Area and it is home to several rare and endangered species, including the snow leopard, Himalayan black bear and red panda. Climbing Saipal requires technical mountaineering skills and the Saipal region offers opportunities for trekking as well.
